Ludwig van Beethoven: Symphony No. 3 in E flat major op. 55 »Eroica«

The Budapest Festival Orchestra (BFO), co-founded by Iván Fischer in 1983, is one of the best orchestras in the world. Not only the critics agree, but also the Gramophone Award for Orchestra of the Year 2022, which is awarded by votes submitted from all over the world, went to the Hungarian orchestra! The BFO can underline its excellence with three programmes. Beethoven's »Eroica« Symphony will close the evening. First performed in Vienna in 1805, it is considered one of the most important and momentous symphonies in music history, eclipsing everything that had gone before in terms of dimension, dynamics, formal structure and tone!
