Concert canceled:
Unfortunately, Fazil Say fell ill and had to cancel his participation in the duo evening with Marianne Crebassa. Due to the close artistic collaboration in the program »Secrets« between the French mezzo-soprano and Fazil Say the concert must therefore be canceled without replacement. Already purchased tickets can be returned to the box offices where they were bought.

The first meeting of Marianne Crebassa and Fazıl Say took place during the Bremen Music Festival 2014. The French mezzo-soprano with the highly expressive voice coloured by shades of bronze brought to life »Gezi Park 3« during a moving world premiere in the presence of the Turkish pianist and composer. The two artists soon noted their spiritual kinship in their search for integrity and their willingness to give themselves up passionately to the intimacy of the musical moment. They chose French piano songs of the late 19th and early 20th century as the subject of their next collaborative project. Love scenes from antiquity, visions flowing with symbolic eroticism or scenes from the 1001 Nights of Scheherazade invite the duo to immerse themselves in mysterious, seductive worlds of women and to enchant listeners with the glowing luminosity of these gems of song — and to bridge the gap between the sensuous-shimmering fantasy world at the turn of the 20th century and the present with the »Gezi Park« compositions!
