Saturday , 19.08.23 - 7:00 pm

Programme:

The Tölzer Knabenchor and Bach -  the composer's works have been part of their core repertoire since the founding of the world-famous choir over 60 years ago. But Johann Sebastian had great predecessors - especially in his own family. And so the Tölzer choristers will combine magnificent motets by his two great-uncles Johann and Johann Christoph Bach with »Lobet den Herrn« BWV 230. In it, the Thomaskantor pulls out all the stops with his composing skills and stirs up the anticipation of a resounding family reunion in the Bach household with contrapuntal mastery and a joyfully exhilarating Hallelujah!

HOW IT WORKS

In ten venues around the market square, two concerts of 45 minutes each will take place in three time slots, while in our main festival hall the Glocke there will be three concerts. All venues have two common intervals for spontaneous encounters and thought provoking conversations with other festivalgoers. Single tickets for each concert can be booked at the standard price of 30 euros. So you can decide for yourself whether you want to attend one, two or three concerts for the festival’s opening night!

Tickets: € 30 (reduced € 24)
