Dinner is served! More than ever, the opening night »Eine große Nachtmusik« is a sumptuously arranged buffet that leaves nothing to be desired – pure music in its most dazzling colours. It ranges from lavish orchestral music over sacral baroque treasures and exquisite gems of chamber music to avant garde jazz and groovy mambo rhythms. And as you do at a buffet, you get to decide whether you pick one, two or three concerts from this delicious abundance. These exquisite musical performances are complemented by the atmospheric illuminations by lighting designer Christian Weißkircher, who wraps the venues around Bremen's UNESCO World Heritage Town Hall and Roland statue in a cloak of brilliant radiance.

HOW IT WORKS

Around the market square, nine venues will each host two 45-minute concerts in three time slots. All venues will have two shared intervals for spontaneous encounters and stimulating exchanges. Individual tickets can be booked for all events at a standard price of 30 euros, so you can choose for yourself whether you would like to attend one, two or three concerts to start off the festival!
