Antonio Vivaldi: Concerti op. 8/1-4 »Le quattro stagioni« (»The Four Seasons«)

Antonio Vivaldi’s »Four Seasons« is one of the most famous works in the history of music! But with Julien Chauvin and Le Concert de La Loge, it suddenly becomes fresher and livelier than ever before. The French violinist and his ensemble have made it their mission to broaden the concert experience and open up new perspectives, by building bridges to other art forms. And so Chauvin brings Vivaldi’s masterpiece face to face with dance and scenography, for which he teams up with two big names: Mourad Merzouki and Coline Serreau. The world renowned choreographer already wowed audiences last year with Henry Purcell’s »The Fairy Queen« with his captivating mix of hip-hop, contemporary dance, circus and acrobatics. Director Coline Serreau intensifies the new three-dimensional interpretation by turning the musicians into actors, even opera singers, who enter into dialogue with the dancers in her staging – an interdisciplinary work whose broadened scope will make you experience »The Four Seasons« in an entirely new way, both audibly and visually.
